Fees and Insurance for Acupuncture
We are committed to offering the best quality care at reasonable rates. Because our patients come come to us with a broad variety of common complaints and in varied states of overall health, it is not possible to give an accurate estimate of what your cost of treatment will be until your individual case has been reviewed. We recommend scheduling a consultation with the acupuncturist to discuss your medical history so that we can give you our best recommendation and the most accurate and realistic expectation. At this first visit, you'll get a detailed treatment plan outlining the total number of visits needed and the total cost of treatment.
As acupuncture grows in popularity and more and more clinical studies demonstrate that acupuncture is both effective and cost-effective, more insurance policies are offering acupuncture as a covered benefit. We are happy to check your insurance plan to see if you are covered, just bring your card with you to your visit and we'll do the rest. We do require payment at time of service and cannot guarantee that your treatment here will be covered. We are in-network with a few plans, but generally we provide documentation to our patients who pay at the time of service and then are reimbursed directly by their insurance company.
Flex and Health Savings Accounts
Health Savings Accounts and many Flex accounts allow you to get reimbursed for acupuncture services as a covered medical expense . Some HSAs will even allow you to get reimbursed for Chinese herbal supplements. Please check with your individual plan to confirm your covered benefits.
Acupuncture counts toward your deductible health expenses on your tax returns. We will provide you with statements and receipts for your records. For more details, refer to IRS Form 502 and/or consult with your Tax Advisor.
New Channel Wellness accepts cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, HSA Cards, and most FSA cards.
If you would like to share the gift of better health with a friend or loved one, a gift certificate is a great way to introduce them to the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Gift certificates can be redeemed for acupuncture services or Chinese herbs.
