Facial Renewal Acupuncture

What is Facial Renewal Acupuncture?

Facial Renewal Acupuncture is a method of promoting whole-body health, and reducing outward signs of aging, while improving facial appearance. Traditional meridian points are needled in certain areas of the feet, arms, hands, and legs. The tiniest, highest grade needles available are inserted in key points on the face, head, and neck to tone and firm facial muscles, improve blood flow, nourishment, and moisture to the skin. Even tinier needles are inserted along fine lines and wrinkles to boot collagen and elastin, making skin more resilient over time.

Is it like a facelift?

No! Facial Renewal acupuncture makes you look more like you. Even the best facelift will make you look not exactly like you, at least in the beginning. A facelift makes your sking tighter, facial acupuncture makes your sking look more vibrant and supple. If you have had a facelift, getting regular facial renewal acupuncture can help the effect last longer.

How does it work?

Inserting tiny needles into acupoints on the face relaxes tight muscles and firms ones that have slackened. The micro-trauma of the needles insertion boosts collagen and ellastin production significantly. Some skin biopsies have shown increase of over 200%. Body acupuncture points included in the protocol enhance digestion, improve immune function, and reduce stress hormomnes all of which help you look happier, healthier and younger!

Does it hurt?

Once in a while a needle insertion may be a tiny bit painful, like a pinprick. But the sensation is usually mild and lasts but a second. Most of the time needling is painless and the session itself is very relaxing. Cupping an guasha at the end of the session feel especially great and are a relaxing end to your treatment

How long will it take to see results?

You'll have a bit of a glow after the very first session, but in terms of seeing noticeable changes in firmness and skin quality, expect people to ask what you've been doing around the 6th session. 10-12 sessions are a complete treatment.

How much does a session cost?

I charge $150 for a 90 minutes appointment. The first visit is a 30 minute consultation, 15-30 minute mini-session acupuncture, and 15-30 minutes facial cupping and/or guasha.
